DESCRIPTION:ATW will be holding new volunteer orientations at our wildlife rehabilitation center. Volunteers will tour the center and grounds\, learn general tasks required of volunteers\, and learn about the animals ATW commonly rehabilitates. Adult orientation will be held on Saturday\, February 16\, and Sunday\, February 17 from 1-4 PM. The first two adult orientations are full. We added a third adult orientation on Sunday\, February 24 from 1-4 PM. Orientation for volunteers 14-18 years old will be held on Saturday\, February 23 from 1-4 PM. \nIn order to attend orientation\, you must first complete the online volunteer application which can be found here. After doing so\, please email us at allthingswildrehab@gmail.comto reserve your spot. If you have already completed the application and are on the volunteer waiting list\, please make sure to email us as well. Adults should indicate which orientation session they prefer to attend (Saturday\, February 16\, or Sunday\, February 17). Each session is limited to 25 participants. SUMMARY:Lunch & Learn with Patti Clark\, President and Executive Director of the Austin Zoo
DESCRIPTION:Join us on Saturday\, September 8\, for our next Lunch & Learn with Patti Clark of the Austin Zoo! \nPatti Clark will be speaking about Austin Zoo. She will share the history of the Zoo and explain how it fulfills its rescue mission. She will tell some of the back stories of the Zoo’s current residents. \nPatti is a native Austinite. She has been a Board member at Austin Zoo since 2003 and its volunteer director since late 2007. She is a Professional Member of the Zoological Association of America (ZAA). Austin Zoo received accreditation from ZAA in May 2018.\nWe meet at Unity Church of the Hills located at 9905 Anderson Mill Rd in Austin. We will meet in Room 203 in the Unity Oaks Building. \nLunch will not be served\, but feel free to bring your lunch with you. \nPlease RSVP by emailing allthingswildrehab@gmail.com or texting (650) 520-6534.
